What's in my camera bag?

I often get asked what's in my camera bag so I thought I'd show you all!  We've recently had a few additions too and I'm super excited about them! Don't worry, this isn't a really 'techy' post, just a little list to give you an insight in to life as a photographer! (phew!)

Let me start by saying that I am a Nikon Girl through and through!  I love my Nikon camera and together with my selected lenses, it is amazing at helping me to achieve the images I create in my mind.  Every portrait shoot, wedding or baby I photograph is completely unique and I love customizing each session to reflect my clients personalities.

As I'm sure you already know, it's not the camera that matters, it's what you do with it that counts...or something like that right ;)

Being a photographer is easy.  I'm serious!  Anyone can pick up a camera and take a photo.  BUT not everyone can be a professional photographer and capture a fabulous photograph!  It's so much more than just the equipment you use.  It's the endless hours of education, workshops & courses, thousands of hours of practice & experience, knowledge of lighting & posing, technique, creativity, inspiration and a complete and overwhelming desire and passion for photography and art.  Not to mention understanding proper editing skills and having that down too.

A pro can take any given situation and know what to do with it.

Of course, having the correct equipment to do your job and do it well also plays a huge part.  You can't expect a Michelin starred chef to cook you a 5 star meal without an oven, pan or knife now can you?!

That being said, here are my favourite tools to help me create those beautiful images for you!  I'm pretty good with what's in my camera bag - I don't carry around excess gear I don't / wont use (it's heavy!) and have recently been a very good girl and cleared out my bag of all unused & unwanted lenses and camera bodies to just my favourites.
